Saga’s Medical First Responder (MFR) training course is designed for emergency responders such as firefighters, peace officers, search and rescue teams, community based volunteer groups, and company emergency response teams.

Fully aligned with Alberta Emergency Health Services (EHS) MFR Program requirements, this training course goes beyond Intermediate First Aid to cover MFR legislation, medical protocols, enhanced skills, High-Performance Basic Life Support, and practical skills review and evaluation.

Saga’s interactive blended learning format combines flexible online study with hands-on practical training—giving you confidence in advanced-level skills without the time and cost of traditional programs.

What to expect:

  • Training that is compliant with the requirements of Alberta Emergency Health Services MFR Program.
  • ~22 hours online + ~32 hours (4 X 8 hour days) in-person
  • Real-world, hands-on skill development
  • Certification upon successful completion
